Amped wireless range extender extends the existing home network range to reach far-off areas of the home. If you have WiFi dead zones in your home, where internet access seems next to impossible, then getting an Amped wireless extender setup is the best solution. Sometimes, despite installing the extender, if you can’t access the network, then you need to make some quick fixes which have been listed in this article. There are two instances, either you can’t access the network right after the setup process, or you were accessing the internet previously and it has stopped working now. In both scenarios, you can use the troubleshooting hacks from this article.

How to Fix Amped Extender Internet Connectivity Issues?

Bring the Devices in Proximity

For an extender to work smoothly, it should be properly connected to the main gateway or the host router. This is possible if you have connected the extender to the router in a proper manner. By that we mean, the Amped extender and the router should be firmly connected to each other.

You can make this sure by checking if the extender is placed outside the router’s range. If it is, then bring it closer to the router. To make a wiser decision, you can opt for connecting them using an Ethernet cable. Cabled connections are always more reliable than non-cabled connections.

Check the Cables & Wires

If you were able to access the internet previously and now it stopped all of a sudden, then check if there is an issue with the connections. Check all the cables and wires that are connected to the Amped extender.

Begin with the power cable. Is the extender receiving a stable power supply or is the cable loose or plugged into a damaged wall socket? If you have any of these mistakes, then it is time to rectify it.

Have you used an Ethernet cable that looks like chewed by your pet? Maybe it has cuts on it and is damaged from here and there. If this is the case then replace the cable right away.

All the connections to the Amped extender should be firm and solid.

Upgrade the Internet Plan

Amped extender can extend the existing network. But if there is an issue with the existing network, then the extended signal will obviously be poor. You can go for upgrading the existing network plan. Contact your ISP right now to get this done.

Reboot the Extender

After you have tried the steps mentioned in the previous steps if the issue has not been yet resolved then reboot your extender once. Perhaps some minor technical hiccups are stopping your extender from performing well. Fix them by rebooting the extender. Power off the Amped range extender by turning off its power button. Remove the power cable from the wall outlet. Let it sit this way for some time and then plug it back. Turn on the power button. After rebooting it, the issue should be resolved.

Restore Factory Settings

Are you sure you are trying to access the Amped extender WiFi on your device? Maybe you are trying to access some other network? If this is not the case, then reset your extender to restore the factory settings on it. Perhaps you haven’t set it up properly. Or there is some major glitch with its configurations. So press the Reset button and restore the default factory settings.

After resetting it, access the Amped wireless login page and set it up from scratch. Make sure you are using the correct procedure to set it up this time. Refer to the user manual to know the exact steps.

Wrap Up

Once you have set up your Amped extender after the reset process, you will definitely be able to access its network on various devices. We want you to update the firmware on your extender immediately to enhance its performance and avoid any issues related to it.
